Hello, I’m Carrie and thanks for visiting my studio website.
Poco Music Studio is a private in person/online teaching studio based out of Christchurch, New Zealand. Dedicated in providing high quality singing and piano lessons. My mission is to encourage, support and inspire students through consistent and solid musical instructions and my aim is to help students to build a life-long interest and appreciation of music.
I have had many years of enjoyment giving private lessons to students of various musical/cultural backgrounds and ages. I am a classically trained vocalist and pianist, and a vocal performance graduate from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a holder of an Advanced Certificate with merit in piano from Trinity College of London. I believe that in order to be a good teacher one must also engage in cultivating self-growth and exploration. I was a member with the National Association of Teachers of Singing in California and was a regular accompanist/teacher with the San Francisco Girl’s Chorus.
